Would you give your life to Apple? So far 23 people have.

The news of Steve Jobs recent passing sent shock waves throughout our society and international culture.
Steve Jobs a legendary icon in the world of technology, business, and marketing had lost his life.

Many people knew of the ongoing medical condition that he was fighting.

Few people knew that he had already proven people wrong by outliving previous projections.

The news of Steve Jobs passing created a nostalgia frenzy where everyone told their favorite Apple or mac stories and oozed about how awesome all of it was.   I actually was never a huge fan of Apple products.  Always proprietary everything and overpriced.  Ok, I never liked the one click mouse.

However I find it odd that most people either don’t know or won’t acknowledge the full truth of Apple’s recent success.

Steve Jobs is at minimum the twenty-third person to loose his life since the Iphone explosion of recent years.  Granted Steve Jobs died of a pre-existing condition but I bed if you asked him he would tell you he gave his life to Apple Computer.

The Iphone is manufactured by a company in China called FoxConn.  (Yep everything is made in China the good stuff too.)  Since the Iphone boom of recent years FoxConn has reported at least twenty-two suicides of its employees.

Critics have pointed at the harsh conditions and called the facility a suicide factory.

Apple was reported to have FoxConn employees sign a “I wont commit suicide clause” to work there.  Think about that for a minute.  As a condition to get a job you have to promise to not kill yourself.

I think its interesting that Iphone users are not aware of this at all, yet they wait in line for a phone that someone did die for so they can text, “iphone 8, to die for.
